....The governments new Green Deal has been launched, the idea is that property owners are incentivised via preferential loans to undertake home improvements that deliver energy efficiency benefit. The energy improvement loan remains against the property until repayment.

The thought process is that the increased energy efficiency benefit will see a reduction in the property owners energy consumption, making bills cheaper which in turn cover the cost of the improvement loan.
